I started making jewelry when I was around twelve years old. At first, it was just something fun to do after school — playing with beads, mixing colors, and seeing how different patterns made me feel. But the more I created, the more I realized that each piece told a story. It wasn’t just jewelry… it was self-expression.
When I decided that this was something I wanted to take seriously, my mom was right there to support and encourage me. Together, we turned my love for art into a business that could inspire others. That’s how Lai’s Xpressions was born — a Black-owned, mother-daughter boutique business built on creativity, confidence, and connection.

Everything I create is handmade with love and intention. I choose each color and crystal carefully because I believe they all carry energy. Some pieces are meant to calm you, others to protect you, and some to simply remind you to shine.
For example, Tiger’s Eye is for strength and courage, while Aventurine brings good luck and confidence. My goal is for you to not only wear your art but to feel it — to connect with its meaning every time you see or touch it.
